professor for percussion and head of Winds, Brass and Percussion<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Department at the Academy of Music, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. As performer, he is currently<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">mostly active in the contemporary music field, performing with Ensemble Modern, Ensemble<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Neofonia Ljubljana, Schallfeld Ensemble Graz, Konzerthausorchester Berlin and others. Since the<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">formation in 2006, he has been performing with Jo\u017ee Bogolin as percussion duo Drumartica in the<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">USA, Japan and across Europe at venues such as the Carnegie Hall (New York), Hermitage Theater (St.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Petersbourg), Berlin Philharmonie (Berlin), Auditorio de Tenerife (Spain), Kuenstlerhaus Munich<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">(Germany), Kennedy Center (Washington DC) and Luxembourg Philharmonic Hall. The duo received<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">first prizes at the International Percussion Competition Luxembourg, Salieri-Zinetti chamber music<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">competition in Verona and numerous other prizes. Simon Klav\u017ear recorded CD&#8217;s Drumartica I and<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Saxala with new music for percussion and saxophone.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Apart from his duo activities, Simon Klav\u017ear performed at the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Festival and Wolfsburg Movimentos Festival. In 2015, he apeared as a soloist at the World Music<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Days with Radio Symphony Orchestra of Ljubljana and performed a world premiere of a double<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">concerto by Matej Bonin for percussion and saxophone in season 2022\/23 with the same orchestra.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Simon Klav\u017ear was a member of the 2017 leg World Percussion Group tour and is endorsed by Adams<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">and Innovative Percussion companies.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-33 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-5870d1a\" data-id=\"5870d1a\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-865ca12 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"865ca12\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Das 2009 gegr\u00fcndete <strong>Klavierduo Shalamov<\/strong> ist ein erstaunliches Ensemble: zwei individuelle Pianisten, Musiker und K\u00fcnstler, die in au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnlicher Symbiose auftreten \u2013 zwei Pers\u00f6nlichkeiten mit jeweils eigenen Ideen und Empfindungen, die im Musizieren zur Einheit finden. Trotz ihres jungen Alters hat ihre Zusammenarbeit bereits au\u00dferordentliche Fr\u00fcchte getragen.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Ihr bisher gr\u00f6\u00dfter Erfolg ist der 1. Preis beim Internationalen ARD-Wettbewerb 2015, ein Preis, der in der 63-j\u00e4hrigen Geschichte des Wettbewerbes bis dahin nur zweimal vergeben worden war. Neben weiteren Preisen gewannen sie im Jahr 2015 ebenfalls den 1. Preis und den Preis f\u00fcr die beste Interpretation einer Komposition von Franz Schubert beim Klavierduo-Wettbewerb in Jesen\u00edk (Tschechien). Weitere Auszeichnungen sind der Musikpreis der BrunoFrey-Stiftung 2015 und der 1. Preis beim Wettbewerb \u201eVerfemte Musik\u201c 2016 in Schwerin. Ihre Ausbildung als Duo erhielten Alina und Nikolay Shalamov an der Nationalen Musikakademie \u201ePantcho Vladigerov\u201c in Sofia in der Klasse von Prof. Milena Mollova, eine der wenigen Studenten des legend\u00e4ren Emil Gilels sowie an der Escuela Superior de M\u00fasica \u201eReina Sofia\u201c Madrid, wo sie mit Ralf Goth\u00f3ni, Eldar Nebolsin, Kennedy Moretti und Alexander Bonduryanski arbeiteten. Zuletzt studierte das Duo Shalamov bei Hans-Peter und Volker Stenzl an der Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik und Theater in Rostock.
